Teresa’s Prime is a family owned and operated Italian Steakhouse in North Reading providing one of the finest dining experiences to Massachusetts North Shore. The restaurant is sleek with an upscale city steakhouse feel full of dark woods, stylish lighting, a large marble bar, white tablecloth tables and rounded soft leather banquets. The dining room also has a large open kitchen with great views into the bustling open kitchen.
The menu at Teresa’s Prime offers a wide selection of items to impress every palate. Chef Owner Nick Yebba Jr carefully designed the menu to highlight their prime beef, Italian specialties and fresh seafood dishes.
Teresa’s Prime also provides guests with an extensive wine list and a tasty cocktail menu including a Mango Mai Tai, Nantucket Blueberry Lemonade, Cucumber Cooler and multiple Martini options to compliment your meal.
My favorite appetizer was the Shrimp Scampi Crostini. This delicious starter was full of colossal shrimp over lightly toasted bread. The shrimp were topped with fresh arugula and cherry tomatoes, and the dish was finished with a flavorful lemon garlic white wine sauce.
I also thought the Wedge Salad was an enticing way to start your meal at Teresa’s Prime. This dish comes with a large wedge of crispy iceberg lettuce, cool blue cheese, tri-colored cherry tomatoes, shaved red onion and a large thick piece of bacon. I found the bacon to be crispy on the outside, tender on the inside and a great addition to this hearty salad.
If you are craving pasta, the Spaghetti with Clams is a wonderful choice. Little neck clams are sautéed with chorizo in lemon garlic white wine sauce and then tossed over spaghetti pasta and finished with Sicilian olive oil. I was impressed with the abundance of delicate clams that blanketed the fresh pasta. They even offer gluten free penne as a substitution in any of their pasta dishes.
Teresa’s Prime is famous for their hand cut steaks and chops. Chef Nick Yebba Jr. uses only 100% all-natural prime beef and cooks each steak to perfection. I enjoyed the Cowboy Bone-In Ribeye. This massive 22-ounce steak was seared and then finished in the oven to produce a nice, light crust on the outside with a tender inside and robust beef flavor in every bite.
Teresa’s Prime also sets themselves apart from other high-end steakhouses by offering two full sides with every steak or chop. My favorite side was the lobster mac and cheese. This side is made to order and is loaded with large pieces of claw meat.
No meal is complete at Teresa’s Prime without their S’mores Sundae. The dessert includes creamy ice-cream with graham crackers and warm brûléed marshmallows. I thought this treat was the perfect finale to a fantastic meal.
This unique Italian Steakhouse combines the best aspects of a high-end steakhouse with flawlessly executed Italian favorites. Their beautiful spot in North Reading is a wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion and yet cozy enough to dine regularly. Teresa’s Prime should be on your list of dining destinations.
