Stephanie’s On Newbury – Newbury Street’s Central Dining Destination

Appetizer Spread

Stephanie’s On Newbury is a beautiful spot in the heart of Newbury Street and Boston’s Back Bay. The space is sophisticated and paired with comfortable seating to make it a perfect neighborhood setting. This Boston institution continued to reinvent itself to appeal to residents and visitors alike. They offer breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner to offer guests an affordable yet special offering for any meal.

When you visit, you should start with a drink., I was impressed by the extensive drink menu. Along with an approachable wine menu, Stephanie’s has some wonderfully crafted cocktails to pair with every dish.

Mussels

Stephanie’s has creative appetizers to share with your friends when dining there. My favorite were the seafood ones. First, their mussels really stood out to me! They were in such a flavorful broth. I couldn’t stop eating them! I also really enjoyed the Lobster Guacamole is made freshly, topped with yuzi dressed Maine lobster, pico de gallo and paired with salted corn chips. If that sounds good to you, then you also need to try the beautifully plated Ahi Tuna Tartare. The tuna is wrapped in a thin cucumber, served with avocado, spicy mayonnaise, wasabi and crispy wonton.

Lobster Salad Roll

Are you more of a salad person? Stephanie’s has you covered! They offer some of the most creative salads around with light to heartier options. My favorite salad was the Bucheron Goat Cheese Salad. It was made with fresh arugula, roasted tri-color beets, tossed with a toasted pistachio vinaigrette and topped with a bruleed bucheron. I also really enjoyed the Asian Yellowfin Tuna Salad served with seared rare tuna, sesame snap peas, pickled onions and crispy wontons. The salad is then tossed in a miso lemon vinaigrette to really bring the flavors together! Looking for something on the heartier side? The Grilled Sirloin Steak Salad is for you! This option is made with spinach, crispy kale, roasted fingerling potatoes, fried shallots, green beans and tossed in a peppercorn Parmesan dressing.

Za'tar Spiced Salmon

The entrées are no less spectacular at Stephanie’s and range from comfort food classics, to tasty pastas, to classic dinner entrées. I really liked their Lobster roll. Stephanie’s lobster roll is stuffed with fresh Maine lobster meat, tossed in a light garlic aioli and served on a toasted brioche roll. Pair it with chips or fries and coleslaw for a perfect meal! Their salmon is also one of my favorites. The presentation changes seasonally, but I loved their Za’tar spiced version. It was pan seared and served over a spring vegetable tabbouleh, topped with tzatziki, feta cheese, toasted pistachios and lemon. It was a light, healthy flavorful dish perfect for the warmer weather! They also offer a tomahawk steak bigger than my head! Its huge!!!

My Loaded Bloody Mary!

If brunch is more your scene, Stephanie’s has you covered. They offer a Bloody Mary bar that can’t be beat. You can pick your spirit, mixer, fillers, rim and skewers to make it one over-the-top beverage! During my visit, I added blue cheese olives, bacon, shrimp, lemon, pickles, and a charcuterie skewer. It was a meal in itself!

I also had to try the cinnamon monkey bread. They are famous for this brunch starter! Their irresistible monkey bread has the perfect amount of cinnamon sugar and gooey icing on the side. Drizzle as much, or as little as you want and pull apart the yummy pieces!

Cinnamon Monkey Bread

One of my go-to items is always a Belgian Waffle. They make a fantastic one and top it with strawberries, maple syrup and house whipped cream. The waffle was light and airy, the berries were fresh and sweet, and the house whipped cream was a perfect balance of sweet and richness. I highly recommend!

Whether you are meeting friends for brunch, having a working lunch or a date night for dinner, you can’t go wrong with all the offerings at Stephanie’s on Newbury. It is the perfect spot for every meal!
